Istanbul Layover

With a 13 hour layover in Istanbul, it was pretty obvious that we needed to see as much of the city as possible. We planned very carefully the places to see in such a short amount of time. We had three different printouts of descriptions. What we didn’t have was a map, or any information…

New Jersey

Our trip began with a stop in New Jersey. First, was a visit with Andy’s grandmother and aunt near the Jersey shore. Then, we went to Bradley Beach and saw his grandparent’s old house, where his father lived, and walked along the beach. Last stop was his Aunt Sue’s house, where we also left the…

Pole Pole

Pole pole (slowly, slowly) is exactly how we made it to the top.  7 days of adventure, challenging and exciting. Glad to be done camping.  More to come later….

Vegetables

Vegetables

Squash, beans, and peppers have been doing well for a few weeks now. Hopefully we will have an abundance (provided the squirrels don’t beat us) when we get back from Tanzania.

Kilimanjaro Weather Report

Sayulita, Mexico

Thank you Peter and Carolyn for getting married in such a beautiful setting! We just got back from Andy’s cousin’s wedding in Sayulita, Mexico.  Four days in an amazing house right up the hill (mountain) from the beach.  Great food, music, ocean, people, wedding, and times. Here are some of the highlights of our trip.

Mystic, CT

In Mystic for the night, guess what was for dinner? Now I need to see the movie.  Nice seaport town.

Imp Lake, Michigan

Working up in the northwoods of Michigan and Wisconsin for the week.  Perfect weather and fall color.
