Last week they added the siding to the new addition and replaced some of the rotten and different siding.  You can no longer see through the dining room wall!  When looking at the new siding, we thought it was poorly aligned since it didn’t match up with the rest of the siding.  On closer inspection, we realized it was a poorly aligned house!

This weekend, we spent some more time doing yard work.  This included taking down a 40-50 foot tree ourselves with a bow saw (since the chainsaw is not starting anymore these days).  We also bought a hedge trimmer and cleaned up the hedges along the side of the house.  Next we cleaned up the rest of the hedges along the concrete wall in the front.  I finally found the mama snake, too, and more of her babies.  Now we will decide if we should fix the concrete or buy a sledgehammer and replace it with raised beds.
